Description:

The Endless Hunger and the Bloody Hands of an Angel

The Seneschal was the first to be taken, dragged from his haven into the morning light. The City's Prince fell soon after, struck down by the flaming sword of a bloody handed angel. One by one the Damned have been dragged screaming to Hell. The dwindling Kindred of the City whisper fearfully their rumours of impending apocalypse. The mortals never notice the culling as they go about with their lives in the light. Those Kindred who still survive this reaping huddle together in a promised sanctuary, the haven of the Seneschal where it is rumored they might be safe for awhile. The Hunger sharpens and tempers flare as old rivals, lovers, teachers and foes are confined to this meager shelter and contemplate what might very well be the end of their kind. If the promise of Immortality proves to be a lie, what of the price you have paid for it?

"Let me tell you the truth. Night after night the blood washes against your soul. Life after life wearing away at the wood and nails of your heart. The truth is - you don't have immortality - in fact, you don't have very long at all."

A Gothic Punk Passion Play

Last Night is a live action storytelling event that examines not what being a Vampire is, but what it costs. Focusing more on the personal dramas, private tragedies and forbidden hopes of the Damned than on politics or power, Last Night is intended to be an intimate and dramatic event. Although using the background of Vampire: The Requiem, the game will use a simplified and stream-lined system. Familiarity with Requiem is not required, but a desire to immerse yourself in the world of the Damned is. Mood and theme will be emphasized, and the event can be expected to verge into melodrama at times. Goth, punk, or anachronistic costumes are to be encouraged (but are not necessary), instead of being worried about what a modern day vampire "would really wear". Feel free to be "goth as f*ck", and angst will be on tap.

As much as possible, I will be trying to create characters highly integrated into the plot of the event and with each others' lives. As such, instead of focusing on political positions or uber-specialized concepts, try this for telling me what kind of character you wish to play - give me a Virtue(Seven Heavenly) and a Vice(Seven Deadly) that you would like to play with, an appearance you'd like to cultivate if you have a costume in mind(a character dressed faux Victorian will probably be written up differently than a grizzled looking street punk), and if there are any other players who have signed up for the game that you would like to have your character especially tightly tied with(I won't promise whether those ties will be positive or negative ones, though). Feel free to post your character requests either in this thread, or e-mail them to me privately(wade.lahoda@gmail.com) if you don't want to show your cards. The sooner you get me word that you are interested in playing, the tighter I'll get a chance to weave you and the more input you'll be able to have into the character.

Description: The white king has held her position for a year. To call it a strange year is an understatement even for the life of the fallen. Shortly after learning the crucifixion rite, she discovered the impossible happened. Somehow during the crucifixion she became pregant. Now a year later, with the king still pregnant, a foretelling has shown that if the baby isn't born soon the king will die. Tonight she will be hung on the cross again and a Nephilim will be born unto a female Grigori. The consequences will echo throughout the symphony.

LARP Name: Racing the Shadows
LARP Type: Shadowrun
Location: Campus Club Rooms
Date and Time: Sunday, June 17th 2007, 12:00:00 - 17:00:00
Storyteller(s): Layne Myhre

Description:

The year is 2055. The world has changed enormously. In the dark future of the Sixth World, widespread overpopulation, the return of Magic, and the domination of the Megacorporations has made life very profitable for those who are willing to walk on the wrong side of the law… the Shadowrunners.

On the dark, brutal back streets of the Chicago Sprawl, a small group of up-and-coming ‘Runners find themselves working against the clock when they are forced to team up with a hand-full of untested strangers in order to accomplish a very time-sensitive job for a mysterious client. From seedy, smoke-filled bars, to a series of warehouses on the waterfront, to the bizarre surreality of the Matrix, the heroes will experience the worst that Chicago has to offer in the year 2055. With little time for planning and a lot that can go wrong, there's nothing but questions with no answers: Can the client be trusted? Can your contacts be trusted? Can the other Shadowrunners? Can you even trust yourself? Come and find out what sort of paranoia you possess: Total... or insufficient.

Emmerse yourself in a harsh futuristic world of magic and technology, of elves and dragons, Megacorporations and cyber-criminals. Players at this LARP will be able to experience the raw cyberpunk feel of Shadowrun's mystical "Sixth World", venture into the surreality of the Matrix, and fight the clock as they work to complete their Shadowrun and get paid. Only 7 players will be accepted for this small-scale event. Additional participants (up to 8) will be welcomed in the form of extras/stagehands, who will get to portray various bar patrons, corporate security guards, NPC contacts, gang members, and so on. Please contact the organizer for further details.
