BarryCon (now November 27-28)

Friday, September 18th, 2009

I have more news about BarryCon.

There are events pages up for the three games involved.

The Bainbridge Society will be the Friday night game:

Tales of the Roving Gypsy will be the Saturday afternoon game:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=122077927780

Kazablanca - A Noir tale of Goblins versus Steampunk will be the Saturday night game:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=113118396783

There will also be areas for these games on the forums.

Unfortunately, as of this writing, the dates on the events are wrong. We have needed to move them to November 27 and 28 instead of November 20 and 21, as unfortunately we were unable to get the booking that we wanted on the weekend of the 20th. That being said, we are now confirmed with the basement of Winston’s for the Friday and Saturday night games.

The pricing plan is $20 for the weekend (which includes a SLARPA membership), or $10 for a single game (which does not include a membership).

I hope to see you all out.

SLARPA AGM 2009

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Thank you all for coming out for SLARPcon 2009.

The SLARPA AGM will be July 12 at 2 in Arts 105.  Come out and tell us how you think things went this year, and what we should be considering for next year.  Also, the executive for next year will be determined at that time, so if you want a say, that is where to have it.

Even if you can’t/don’t want to show up at the AGM, we still want to know what you thought of what we did.  Get in contact with us in whatever way you normally do, and look in the forum for a questionnaire of things I think will be useful to know for the next executive.

SLARPcon ‘09 Games Needed!

Monday, February 16th, 2009

The SLARPA Winter Event was a great success. Thanks go out to everyone involved! Check out the link to find out what you missed out on :) Feel free to add your own thoughts, in particular comment on what you liked and didn’t like. We definitely want another Winter Event in 2010!

It’s time to get your game ideas in for SLARPcon ‘09! We’re aiming for three games (Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening). Weather permitting, Sunday noon will likely be a BBQ in the University park area. Remember, the sooner you get your ideas in, the more likely you are to get the timeslot you want! Last year’s games had some big turnouts, so keep that in mind! Ask your friends or on the forums to help you out.

Get your ideas in on the forums, or contact one of the executive directly for more information.

Winter Event Schedule

Friday, February 6th, 2009

The Winter Event will be February 7 in the MUMPS lounge in the Medical Sciences building.

We have the venue from Noon.

The LARP, “Lostday in Limehouse”, which is set in the Unhallowed Metropolis setting starts at 7:00 sharp; be there earlier to get your character information before the rules explanation.
