Submit your LARP for SLARPcon ‘08

March 3rd, 2008

Submissions for running a LARP at the 4th SLARPcon are underway. Submissions will take place until April 4th. Voting by SLARPA members will run from April 7th until April 30th and the games chosen will be announced on May 5th.

In addition to the voting the executives are going to weight the games based on the time slots requested, game type, game size and new storytellers. Preference may be given to games with Storytellers who have not run a game at a previous SLARPcon or to ones with a combination of new and old Storytellers.

You may submit your game over in the forums:

New Secretary

March 3rd, 2008

Carla had to step down from her position as Secretary of SLARPA. Spike Postnikoff will be taking over for the remainder of the year.

Memberships

December 9th, 2007

SLARPA memberships have gone on sale. They cost $10.

Benefits:

Members can submit a game they would like to run at the convention.

After March 15th, members can vote on which games will be run.

Provided that they preregister for games, members will get into the convention for free.

Other local games may also provide incentive to be part of the society.

To get a membership, contact us at contact@slarpa.com. They may also be available for purchase at games, particularly all SbN and Winter and Construction games (talk to Andrew, the VP of SLARPA). If there are interested volunteers, we will see about having memberships available at other games or locations.

Favoured time slot and reasoning.

New Site Design

November 21st, 2007

As you can probably already tell we have decided to redesign the SLARPA website and to use blogging software. This will allow all of the executives to post plus I am also toying with the idea of letting Storytellers and GMs post here about their games.
